BLS CERTIFICATION COURSE

The Basic Life Support course is designed to offer healthcare providers working in the hospital or other settings with instructions and skills needed to recognize life threatening emergencies, provide high-quality chest compressions, offer ventilations appropriately and apply and use an AED device. The BLS course can be deliver via Instructor-Led Training or Blending Learning consisting of the following:

         ·       Instructor-Lead - trainings are conducted in a classroom setting and consists of group interaction, hands-on coaching, and feedback from a certified                                      AHA instructor. Face-to-Face courses include social distancing in accordance with CDC recommendations.

         ·       Blending Learning – the course consists of an online portion that the student completes at home or wherever internet services can be accessed. Following 

                 successful completion of the online portion, participants are required to complete a hands-on skills session with a certified AHA Instructor

         

      BLS Teaches Participants:

          ·       High-quality CPR for adults, children, & infants

         ·       Components of the AHA Chain of Survival

         ·       Early use of the AED

         ·       Ventilating with a barrier device

         ·       Team Dynamics

         ·       Relieving an obstructed air in a choking adult, child & infant

          BLS participants receive a written or online exam at the completion of the instructor led or blended learning courses where they must receive a                                                minimum passing score of 84% to receive a certificate of completion.
